Lenten Meditations from Crescendo North America

Today is Ash Wednesday, the beginning of Lent, a traditional 41-day season of penitence and reflection. Starting February 14, 2024, and over the next six Wednesdays,  Crescendo North America will present a series of seven videos for your Lenten meditations.

Your Invitation to These Lenten Meditations

The meditations are based on the cantata, Christ lag in Todes Banden (Christ lay in the bonds of death), BWV 4, by Johann Sebastian Bach. Each meditation video includes a short reflection followed by a movement from the cantata.

Check their website every Wednesday in Lent as we reflect deeply on the events of Holy Week and its meaning for us–so brilliantly portrayed by Bach.
