I’m glad you’re here. This website / blog is available to all. I’m Sus Schmitt, author and originator of eQuipping for eMinistry (e4e).

The Origins of eQuipping for eMinistry

My first assignment with Cru was as the receptionist in the computer services department in 1975. After two years, I was challenged to become a programmer and so began my tech journey. I’ve been mostly self-taught in tech things ever since. When I left the office to focus on starting our family, I continued learning computer skills which soon included the Internet. About 2007, a friend challenged me to begin blogging.

God has used all this tech experience and given me a heart for our Cru staff and a skill to communicate tech help without the technobabble.

I’m currently re-organizing the pages of this blog and will be able to better help you find your way around eQuipping for eMinistry soon.

About Me

I’m Sus Schmitt, a Cru missionary since 1975, specializing in blogs and all that’s related to blogging. I’m active on social media as a ministry as well.

I love good music, a good book, and being outdoors. I intentionally and regularly have a variety of ways to express creativity. My husband, Mike, on staff since 1979, is a business systems analyst, also at Cru headquarters. We raised three great adult children and now we have six since all are married. We have four grandchildren.

My Writing

I initially had eight blogs and merged them into three because I essentially have three audiences. My focus for each blog is:

1. Encourage the use of technology for evangelism and discipleship (this blog, eQuipping for eMinistry);
2. Motivate and equip readers to share their faith as a way-of-life and personal stories (MikeandSus.org);
3. Reach and resource my readers who have limited access to biblical truths (The Sovereign).
